Avery Marshall (AKA How Airplanes Fly) received one of two grants in Yes All Witches’ third round of mutual aid micro-grants in the summer of 2022!

Avery was provided an electric guitar via Yes All Witches grants, which is the equipment he’d written in about during the application process. Avery is an extremely talented long-term Wizard Rock creator, who applied for a YAW Grant hoping to evolve his existing sound by going from mostly acoustic to experimenting with electrified sounds. (A very Bob Dylan moment, Avery!).

We’re so thankful to have been able to ship Avery the telecaster pictured here thanks to support from the WZRD Podcast and Harry & the Potters!

Pansy and the Parkinsons received one of two grants in Yes All Witches’ third round of mutual aid micro-grants in the summer of 2022!

With the current state of the Fandom, our YAW Grant applicants brought enthusiasm, activism, and new ideas and perspectives to potential Wizard Rock projects.

Thanks to generous grant matching from WZRD Podcast, we were able to outfit Rachael with a full digital recording microphone set up that can be used for music, streaming, and much more. Pansy and the Parkinsons is a project that Rachael has been trying to start for years, but only recently found a concept that sparked creativity.

Follow along with Pansy and the Parkinsons’ journey as Rachel dives deeper into a character that she sees as complex, loyal, and queer in the dangerous wizarding world.

Dots & Lines received Yes All Witches’ second round of mutual aid micro-grants in the summer of 2020.

When Covid-19 turned the music world upside down, our grant program received some great applications with ideas for making new music and keeping the wizard rock fandom going.

Thanks to generous grant matching from WZRD Podcast, Harry and the Potters, and Ashley Hamel, we were able to outfit Zoe with a phenomenal starter microphone AND recording software. Dots & Lines plans to take audio to the next level recording Wizard Rock, STEM-influenced songs, and possibly even becoming an audiobook narrator!

Totally Knuts received our first ever Yes All Witches Grant in 2017. Fronted by TK, a non-binary wizard, the addition of Totally Knuts to the Wizard Rock scene has been an injection of energy. Totally Knuts’ first album, Fresh, Spooky, Queer, covered topics from trans inclusivity at Hogwarts to getting your wand through airport security.

As of April 2020, TK has produced 4 albums and 2 EPs with the microphone provided by the Yes All Witches Grant Program!
